Simon is Chief Operating Officer of the Steam Oil Production Company, a new operator in the North Sea, aiming to implement the first offshore steamflood project in Europe. He has over 35 years industry experience with Total, Shell, KBR, Technip and Gaffney Cline. As Project Manager of SBM, he delivered the first of the “one-year” fast track converted FPSO's. He also performed subsea management of the first spread-moored VLCC FPSO, Brazil and structural/naval head of, at the time, the world’s largest FPU, offshore Congo. He has acted as appointed expert for FPSO major claims, FLNG independent assessment, and the $50Bn Brazil pre-salt oil rights valuation.
